our roots: The airstream story

The Airstream idea came about right before the Pandemic during a time of self evolution. I knew I wanted more with my hair styling & makeup career, but I also wanted freedom. I wrote down all the things I loved, both personally and behind the chair. Old Cars, Vintage Antiques, Hair Styling, Makeup, Travel, Nature, and so on. This lead me down the rabbit hole of Mobile Salons, and it had to be an Airstream.

I purchased a 1969 17ft Airstream and attempted to do all the renovations myself. learned quickly about Airstreams and how difficult they can be to restore, especially for Stateboard's standards. As I was working on it I saw that the stateboard changed their rules and for some reason a 24ft was the minimum size for a mobile salon. I couldn't believe it! So I sold mine during the Pandemic and bought an empty 1962 24ft one from Avalon RV, who then renovated it to be the custom airstream salon you see today.

I opened this mobile salon in 2021 and have been doing events and weddings in it ever since. It grew and became a seasonal hot spot, great for photoshoots, and even better for events - but I needed more space to create all year round for all the services I offer, not just for the warm seasons.

I grew this business into the Suites you see today In downtown Pleasanton. It has been 4 years of marketing, growing my wedding business, and customizing my space.

I love the Airstream and it was named after my grandparents, who loved and supported my beauty career while they were here with us. I came from a family of beauticians and barbers, to have a space of my own based around innovation and creativity has been an honor.

WHAT NOW FOR THE AIRSTREAM? As our suites grow and personal lifestyles have changed, the airstream isn't booking an service based events as of now.
